Fall 09 Ready To Wear: Moschino Cheap & Chic

Moschino does it again, yet another absolutely genius collection. I'm beginning to think they can do no wrong. Then again, I am a sucker for iridescent fabric and ruffles.

fall 09 Ready To Wear: Erdem

I always enjoy new finds. Erdem is one of my new ones. I've always know of the label, but never have I been familiar with it's clothes. This collection definitely caught my eye and I look forward to their future collections.

Fall 09 Ready To Wear: House Of Holland

I must say that I don't really like House Of Holland very often, but I just could not go past this collection. I love that these clothes are almost like the colour charts you see at the hardware. So amazing.

Oscars 2009

I take a small break from F/W09 to show some choice picks from this year's Oscars.
Overall I found this year a little average, but there were as always some great looks.

Tilda Swinton in Lanvin

Penelope Cruz in Vintage Balmain

Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior Haute Couture

Sophia Loren in Armani Privé

Evan Rachel Wood in Elie Saab Haute Couture

Anne Hathaway in Armani Privé

Amanda Seyfried in Valentino Couture

Fall 09 Ready To Wear: Erin Fetherston

I've always loved Fetherston's clothes, and been quite jealous as she seems to steal ideas out of my head.
Anyway, this is probably my favourite collection that I have seen yet from her. She has added a little bit more of an edge than usual, taking things to a new level.

Fall 09 Ready To Wear: Karen Walker

So begins my posts on Fall 09 RTW.

I start with Karen Walker. I've been in love with her for a long time, and even though I may not always like everything she does, she always puts together a collection with a strong, cohesive point of view.
And of course, F/W 09 is no exception with the collection entitled "Cracked". the collection featured some excellent prints of broken pearls and china and as the Karen said herself, "We love the beauty that comes out of catastrophe, and the brittle nature of things."
