Spring 2010 RTW: Aquilano.Rimond

One of the best things about looking at every collection (and I mean every, 180 something shows now..) is that I find designers I never knew about before and instantly love.

Aquilano.Rimondi are my favourite new find this season. Beautiful deluxe Italian fabrics and like jewel-tone brocade combined along with a nod to semi-obscure Italian couturiers, brought this collection to life.

Spring 2010 RTW: Prada

Prada set the standard high, and on the first day of Milan Fashion Week no less.

Gone was the brooding, dark girl we saw at the Fall 09/10 show. It really is a compliment to her talent, that Muiccia Prada can deliver as much with her lighter side as she can with her more intellectual shows.

This has to be one of my favourite Prada collections. And as a friend of mine said whilst discussing this collection, "She gives us so much. All she asks for in return is money."
