Spring 2010 RTW: Rodarte

I remember when Rodarte were the new little up and coming label in the first few pages of Vogue. Now the Mulleavy sisters collections have become one of the most highly anticipated shows every season.
And once again, for spring, they did not disappoint.

Progressing from their earthy showing last season, Rodarte have gone apocalyptic, with the sisters referencing singled land, Mad Max and condors. The runway was bathed in a poison cloud from which the almost tribal girls emerged.
The large mix of fabrics, all burnt or torn or sanded, worked well together and as individual looks, further enhancing the strong theme of the show.

With fan's like Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, and almost every magazine fashion editor and stylist, these girls continue on their upward journey.
